SKE Klearline Static Run Down Screens

SKE Static Run Down Screens have four variants all with the same basic working principle. A range of flow rates between 2 - 400 m3/h are available with grid spacing between 0.5 - 3.0 mm.

Technical Information

Constructed out of high quality AISI 304 stainless steel to ensure years of trouble free operation. DS and S frames are made out of galvanised steel. Filtering panels with interchangeable grids, composed of polyfluoride vinylidene which has high mechanical strength and a temperature range of  +160°C to -35° C. Optional extras include full manufacture in AISI 316 stainless steel, AISI 304 stainless wedge wire screening surface, overflow built into the feed tank in the frame structure and an electric vibrator is available on the CV Model to aid separation of particularly dirty screenings.

Operation
The effluent to be treated flows into the feeding tank, then overflows from the weir and is evenly distributed across the whole filtering surface. The particular shape of these grids, with corrugated bars, allows efficient separation of the solids from the liquor, continuously and without blockages. The separated solids collect at the front of the screen while filtrate flows to the back. It is possible to adjust the inclination of the filtering panel to allow for greater solid separation.

C models are designed to be compact, with the CV version available with the option of a vibrator on the screen to maintain steady flow. S models are larger with the tanks and screens supported by a galvanised tubular screen. The DS model has screens running sown both sides for higher flow rates.
